Dear friends of the Liberal Party, |
|
| |

Stojan Àndov |
The understanding of the practice of government as a responsibility – not as a privilege, the role of deciding as a duty – not as a mean for one self and the practice of government as management of the general prosperity – not as rule for personal benefit, all that represents the basic mental mainstream of the liberal personal resource which participates on elections and in all levels of government.As a matter of fact we, Liberals, proved the capability to create and participate in the political process of the state through practice and proved our value in these complex circumstances of the Macedonian socially-political, security and economic life.

| Yesterday: PRESIDENT ANDOV ON A1 TELEVISION |
3 :: 04 :: 2008 |
Last night the President of LP, Stojan Andov, was guest of A1 Television’s direct cover of the Summit of NATO in Bucharest, hosted by the journalists Biljana Sekulovska and Alexandar Chomovski.
On the journalist’s question which of the processes of membership in OUN, NATO or EU is the most crucial one, President Andov clarified: “These whole seventeen years is a time of important decisions while the invitation for NATO is to be a decision to step forward”.
During the conversation Stojan Andov was asked also on the possibilities of Greek veto and the possibility to find solution over the dispute on the name according to the proposition of OUN’s Mediator Mathew Nimmitz:
- ...In such cases it is very important to state the attitudes. Our representatives are to state (www.lp.org.mk: whether they agree with the offered solution), and if they agree with Nimmitz’es proposition, the pressure is transferred on the other party... The process of NATO’s enlargement is defined. The process of negotiations with Greece is run under the United Nation’s sponsorship, so Greece will difficultly explain with what Macedonia deserves veto when everybody concluded that Macedonia fulfills the criteria for membership, and the process of enlargement must not depend… of such disputes.
www.lp.org.mk also announces that President Stojan Andov will be guest of Channel 5 TV tonight, starting from 20.00 hours. |

| Last Night: PRESIDENT ANDOV ON TV “VIS” IN STRUMICA |
28 :: 03 :: 2008 |
- The issue of the name is not an issue of one political party. This issue is a generic issue of ours, an issue of the past and the present and the future generations. One politician must be of its use instead of using it for obtaining political points – staded Andov in last night’s interview for TV “Vis”. Responding to a journalist’s question, Andov directly stressed the necessity of one joint attitude of the state’s leadership during the negotiations.
Starting from the attitude of LP’s leadership defined during the meeting on the last Nimmitz’es proposal, the President of LP referred to the constructiveness of the proposal as well as of its acceptance now by the Macedonian state leadership.
In the interview Stojan Andov also spoke on the economic perspectives and the interethnic relations in Macedonia after the accession in NATO as precondition for economic prosperity of the state, the relaxation of the relations in the Macedonian society and state, as well as from the perspective of one guarantee of the security of the state through the North-Atlantic Alliance as a collective security system.
In the following text we also transfer the statements of the President of LP, Stojan Andov, for yesterday’s editions of the printed media in Macedonia regarding Liberal Party’s standing points on the last proposal of Nimmitz for solving the dispute with Greece. |

| SKOPJE’S LIBERALS ON THE URBANITE SOLUTIONS IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF CENTAR AND CITY OF SKOPJE |
24 :: 03 :: 2008 |
After the adoption of the changes in the Detailed Urbanite Plan “Big Ring – Southern Part”, that allow building of sky-scrapers with maximum height of 300 meters or 98 floors and ground level, the Member of Council of Centar from LP, Prof. PhD Golupska Nechevska Cvetanovska for the daily “Vreme” from 18 March says: “In construction building we have a motto that says there is no building that can not be built... but surely there should be thorough researches from the field geomechanics and geophysics on the specific location. Regarding the fact that the very technology of building sky-scrapers comprehends that they are four to five floors dug in the ground, appearance of underground waters is to be paid attention to...”
On the idea of Municipality of Centar on building busts instead of building memorial monuments of Emperor Samoil and of Metodija Andonov Chento, the Coordinator of the Counselors’ Group of LP in Skopje City Council, Ivon Velichkovski, said today for Channel 5 and Telma Televisions: “In such manner we reduce the historic significance of those persons, especially having in mind their great influence on our history. Anyway the City of Skopje is entitled to pay them tribute in shape of memorial monuments instead of monuments of smaller scale“. |
